Hi Reader and Happy Friday Eve! It’s been a little over a week since I wrote my last post. Needless to say, I found out it was not food poisoning I had but the stomach flu. I unfortunately passed it off to Tony and I felt really terrible about it. But Joe, Tony and myself were back to normal by Saturday. We went out for Korean BBQ and it was delicious.
I hope everyone is having a great week so far. We’re almost to the weekend. How about that time change though? I don’t know about you guys but I’ve definitely been feeling more tired because of the time change. Losing one hour really does make a different especially if you have a normal routine. Going to work, going to the gym after, coming home to make dinner, showering, and then sleeping… Let’s just say, my day feels like it’s going by faster.
I just want to take a moment to reflect on my journey of building my strength up so far. I took a Body Pump class yesterday at the gym. The class was taught by master trainers from Les Mills. If you don’t know, Les Mills is a fitness organization. They have up to 18 fitness program and they can be found across 80 countries. They’re freaking to awesome to say the least.
In class, we were getting through our second set of our bicep/tricep combo and the trainer yelled out “What are you guys here for?!… Are you meeting your goal with every push? Can you see how your fitness journey is unfolding?”
In that moment, I felt incredibly strong. I have been fighting for this moment to better myself. To push through and picture, a loving husband, a wonderful home, and beautiful kids. To sweat it all out, becoming more strong, burning fat and being healthier.
I have to admit however, I have had couple of weeks where there was not much movement on the scale. I was stagnant. But honestly… I didn’t care. I still made the effort to move those weeks: to get my ass to the gym and make better eating choices. I think if I spent more time dwelling on what went wrong, I’ll lose focus on what I’m trying to do right.
It’s all about the process and the progress. Sometimes it’s better to focus on what’s going on off the scale rather than on. With that being said, let’s keep going!
We’re only 3 1/2 months into 2019 and I can’t wait for the rest of the year to come. Not for the result but again for this unbelievable process. I live for the process. You can only appreciate the result if you knew the obstacles you had to face getting there. That’s absolute key.
One of my goals this week is to burn over 1,000-calories a day for five days. So far, I’ve achieved 2/5. I know for damn sure I will get there by Sunday. Get fit or die trying.
How has your week been? Are you guys meeting your monthly/weekly/daily goals? I sure hope so! Share some of your goals with me. I would love hear them.
I probably wont write another post until next week so if anything, I hope you guys have an amazing weekend. As always, spend time with your loved ones and eat good food! I’m all about that food life. Know what I’m saying?!
Until the next post,
With love and support,
P.S. Thank you, thank you, thank you… for your continued support on my blog. I appreciate every view, read, comment, repost I receive! Love you all!
