Hi Reader! I hope you all had an amazing 4th of July weekend. It’s been awhile since I last made a post. I’m coming fresh off vacation as you may know. So fresh I decided to lay low key over the last week or so. No worries though because I don’t stay gone for long.
Vegas was really fun. I was able to get out to the pool all three days we were there. We hit up the pools at Caesar’s Palace, Drai’s at Cromwell, and Tao at the Venetian. Out of the three pools, I can easily say that Drai’s was the best.
I recalled prior to the trip, my girls and I were trying to figure out what day clubs and night clubs we wanted to go. I threw out Drai’s so many times despite not having been there ever. One of my girlfriend’s had a promoter that could get us on the guest list and Drai’s had the most restrictions. Literally first 500 girls were free and guys automatically paid $50. And we were trying to figure out, of all the day clubs and night clubs we could get on the guest list for, why was Drai’s the most expensive?
Let me tell you guys… I saw why you had to pay to play to get into Drai’s. Tony was able to get us on the guest list for Drai’s and it did not disappoint. The music was on point, the view was amazing, and the drinks… let’s just say my large souvenir cup was filled half way with Don Julio and I wasn’t even mad.
Needless to say, I’ll be back for Drai’s. Who knows? Maybe even sooner than you think.
Even though I had a great time with Tony and our friends, if I had to choose a pit of our trip, it would probably be Saturday Night clubbing. We got on the guest list for Marquee with hopes the Hip Hop room would be open but unfortunately, it wasn’t. The main stage was EDM.
Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t diss on EDM but it’s just not my preference in music. We tried to make the best of it but we didn’t last very long. We bounced early and grabbed pizza instead. If anything, I think we were more excited for the pizza than the club 😛
We got back to the hotel and said our goodbyes as Tony and I had an early flight the very same morning. We went to bed at 2:50 am and woke up two hours later to gather our things and head to the airport. As we anticipated, TSA check took us 30 minutes to get through. We slept a little bit at the airport as we waited to board our flight. We knocked out on our flight and as soon as we got home, we completely passed out until 2 in the afternoon.
I don’t regret anything.
I’d say one of the peaks of this trip was just getting a chance to get out with my girls and everyone in general. Whatever happened in Vegas will stay in Vegas and of course between us, but I really enjoyed just being in the present with everyone. I would say the pit of the trip was just the timing of everything. If I could do anything differently, I would’ve planned out the day and night clubs on different days just so we weren’t all exhausted. Despite that, I had an amazing time and I would definitely do it again.
I will say this though: it definitely gets harder as you get older as far as trying to drink and party it up. I don’t think I felt back to normal until probably Wednesday; the day before 4th of July. I think I talk a big game about turning up sometimes and I need to chill out.
I can hang but I’m totally grandma. I also don’t have the desire to drink as much as I used to either. I can always go for a margarita here and there but trying to drink for three days in a row – I wasn’t having it. I’m all good now and my friends are too. I hope 😛
I hope you enjoyed reading a little about to my Vegas trip. I didn’t go into too much detail about the trip because I’m a firm believer in “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” except between my friends and I when we need to laugh about it from time to time 😛
I hope you all have a great start to your week! Let’s get this bread!
Until the next post,
With two shots of tequila from me to you,
