I love every part of a kitchen setting. Anywhere from the countertops to appliances to the dishes to the food in the fridge. Tony is very much aware that when if and when we buy a house, the kitchen will be one of the first things I’d want to look at.
I always envision my dream kitchen.
For some of you who may not know yet, Tony and I moved into our new apartment about two months ago. We downsized in a space but I love our kitchen. I love the idea of being able to play around with open space and make it our very own. The backsplash, the countertops, the whites, grey, and tints of black embedded perfectly.
All that is missing is a cute island in the center. I have already discussed with Tony what I’d like to have in our kitchen so hopefully soon we’ll be making some additions.
Since we’ve moved in, I have either bought or received awesome kitchenware for our new home. I wanted to share some of these cool things with you all a couple of months ago but with the holidays, I didn’t get a chance to.
So here are my current five (5) favorite kitchenware items:
Garlic Press: I have always wanted a garlic press in my kitchen. I love having fresh garlic in a lot of my cooking but sometimes finely chopped garlic takes time especially if you’re like me and you love a ton of garlic in your cooking. I’m one of those people who add more garlic than the recipe actually calls for. Can you relate? I’ve used this a few times already and it works wonders. I bought mines off of Amazon of course for only $11. One of the best investments I’ve ever made in kitchen necessities.
Magic Bullet: Tony and I decided to purchase the Magic Bullet to make our protein smoothies and shakes. I tend to buy different protein whey and get super hyped on it but I can’t seem to finish it all. I bought a Matcha Green Tea Latte protein and its delicious but I’d rather much have it blended with a banana. Being that Tony and I tossed our blender because Tony wore it out, we decided we’d replace with another one. And that’s why we purchased the Magic Bullet. We purchased it from Home Depot because they had a sale on it. I find it very useful to have around and hope to use it more often for other creations as well.
“Mamacita Needs a Margarita” Kitchen Towel: Shoutout to my girl Panyia because she knows I love margaritas. In our household, we run on hard work and tequila so this towel was very fitting to our kitchen especially since I love cooking. It absolutely describe parts of my life including my love for margaritas and my love for kitchen towels.
Gold-Rimmed Cocktail Shaker: Something so little could mean so much. Cathy Cheesecake, you know me so well. Although we did not have a housewarming party, Cathy was so sweet and got me a cocktail shaker. It lists out all ingredients and measurements to make a different kinds of cocktails. It’s super cute and I love it so much. It’s glass and it’s gold rimmed! Gold! I love it!
Grill Pan: Tony and I made a spontaneous purchase when we were purchasing house items at IKEA. I’ve never in my life owned a grill pan but I just thought it was the awesomest thing ever. We haven’t used it yet but I’m sure we will soon. I’ll let you guys know how it turns out. I just think it’s one of those pans that not everyone owns and it’s a unique piece to have.
These are just my current five (5). Trust when I say, there will be more added to our kitchen and updated favorites I will share with you in future postings.
