Song: I Will Wait (2011)

Another week to an unheard throwback. This past November Tory Lanez released Chixtape V consisting a series of RnBs samples from the 2000s-era. It caught a lot of attention and people were going bonkers over these samples. Tory Lanez has been around for quite some time just like many artists whom were waiting for their breakthrough debut.

“I Will Wait” was released underground around the same time as Chixtape I. I thought this track highlighted one of his greatest moments as an RnB singer. In listening, you can hear his innocence and his youth yet his voice was very soulful. To this today, “I Will Wait” will always be my favorite Tory Lanez song. When people talk about how Chixtape V was an amazing album, I can’t help but think how I’ve been fangirling Tory Lanez since Chixtape I. #TBT
