At last! It’s finally October, Halloween decorations are up, we’re buying candy, it’s still 90 degrees in San Diego, and Trump got CORONAVIRUS!!!
It’s spooky szn – not season, szn! And I’m here for it.
I needed to restock our candy bowl so I decided to go to the Dollar Tree. Since it’s just Tony and myself, we don’t need an entire bag of Halloween candy.
I was surprised to walk into the Dollar Tree with an entire side of Halloween decorations. There were a lot of good things and I felt like I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get in on the fun.
I grabbed a few Halloween ornaments and a garland. And then I headed straight for the candy aisle.
Just browsing around, I came across the vases. And next to the vases, there were a ton of fairy lights. I grabbed three (3) vases and three (3) boxes of fairy lights. My idea was to cut the garland and throw pieces of it into the vase along with the Halloween ornaments and lights.
Can’t have Halloween without some lights!
It turned out perfectly! I’d say it was probably one of my better crafty Halloween ideas although it was fairly simple to make and completely priceless. WATCH OUT HOMEGOODS!
I also felt it was very therapeutic for my heart.
Next to it being spooky szn and getting crafty, I’m hoping for more blessings this month.
It’s been tough lately and although I don’t talk about my feelings with a lot of people, I’m definitely going through it and the last thing I would ever want to do is burden people with my problems.
I’d like to remain more low key and in the moment with everyone in my life. So far, I think I’m doing pretty well but as far as the future, it will get better.
In the meantime, I’m going grind, watching Halloween movies, eat candy, and enjoy spooky szn!
